Cardinals off-season finally starting to heat up

After a very slow start to the off season, where the Cards were the lone team without an addition to the team, they finally signed back veteran pitcher Adam Wainwright.

Cardinals fans have been outraged after president of operations John Mozeliak had not made any moves. He told the fans to wait it out and he would soon make a splash.

This move isn't really a splash, but it finally adds the veteran that is perfect for the clubhouse. Wainwright brings a nice presence and really shapes up young prospects on the way to their future.

The splash that Mozeliak has hinted at has finally turned up as the Cardinals are in deep talks with Nolan Arenado. He is possibly the best defender in the entire league, and a plus hitter in the box. While he might play at Coors Field in Colorado, he has a very solid away and home game split.

Many fans slander Arenado for playing in a higher elevation, the Cardinals would still be getting one of the best players in the entire game. We personally ranked him in the top 10 in the MLB, and we would probably rank him in the top 3 defenders in the league, probably number one.

Cardinals fans have a lot to look up to now, as the off season could turn out to be a win in the books by the end of it. While they might not be one of the best teams in the MLB, the rest of the division is falling and the future looks bright for the Cards.
